Duckpond Darwin Checkmated By Murder of Crows?

Previously: In a recent "all staff" e-mail, one employee asked for volunteers to consider bringing in "Owl statues, or something similar" to be "placed in the courtyard to scare away the crows" were snatching up and eating newly hatched ducklings. A second employee, here glossed "Duckpond Darwin," responded to this request by sarcastically defending the crows right to "naturally select" ducklings for dinner.

Now on with the story...

Once again, while these are not the crows that threaten the ducklings in this series of posts, they are similar birds. This photo from a July 2006 trip to Mendon Ponds Park.

Capping off the recent barrage of e-mails pertaining to the activity around the artificial pond in the courtyard at school was this final gem, which arrived via the "all staff" e-mail (the first two posts are here and here):
I'm a big fan of select natural selection myself. Let's open the windows is Rm 214 and let all the crows in there.

Or would we get in trouble for cruelty to animals??
Of course, the "Rm 214" referenced above as a potential natural selection gladiator pit of sorts in the email is none other than Duckpond Darwin's classroom!
