Courtyard Capers: ATTEN-SHUN!

Previously: In a recent "all staff" e-mail, one employee at my school requested that someone kindly bring in "Owl statues, or something similar" to be "placed in the courtyard to scare away the crows" were snatching up and eating newly hatched ducklings. This past Wednesday, Mr. Plastic Owl, fell victim to a series of wind storms, knocking him from his post beside the artificial pond...

Now on with the story...

I was please to notice that someone had set Mr. Plastic Owl back at his appointed position over looking the courtyard (while apparently electing not to pick up the other debris, such as the overturned bucket over Mr. Plastic Owls. left shoulder). His vantage point is such that his stalwart presence is easy to see from above... the position from which the crows would be likely to attack.

The ducklings and their parents, on the other hand, have done a fine job staying secluded, coming out only occasionally to walk briefly around the general vicinity of the pond and (maybe) take a dip in the pond.
